Jazz Ensemble

Citrus Valley Offers two jazz ensembles for students to participate in during the Spring Semester with a 0 period offering in the Fall:

• Citrus Advanced Jazz Ensemble: Audition Group that meets before school Fall and Spring Semesters. Members of this ensemble are expected to take time outside of class to learn the material and have basic understanding of Jazz theory and improvisation. CAJE has between 5-10 performances for community groups and fundraisers. Dates will be posted on the calendar

• Jazz Lab/Pep Band: This ensemble is open to all members regardless of instrument. Students have an opportunity to learn the basics of jazz composition as well as picking up a secondary instrument that more specifically sits in the standard jazz ensemble (Sax, Trombone, Trumpet). Class meets once a week on Tuesdays after school.
